The BC Summer Games Are Coming to Our Backyard and We Couldn’t Be Prouder

KingFisher Boats is a proud Silver-level Friend of the Games at the Kelowna 2026 BC Summer Games July 23-26 with the rowing competition happening right here on Swan Lake in Vernon

Sometimes we support events from a distance. This one, we can see from our front door.

KingFisher’s manufacturing facility sits on the shore of beautiful Swan Lake, the same water where from July 23 to 26, hundreds of young rowers from every corner of British Columbia will compete at the Kelowna 2026 BC Summer Games. For four days, the lake where we build boats becomes the lake where the next generation of B.C. athletes chases their goals.

On the water with the athletes

KingFisher is providing four boats crewed by four employee volunteers to serve as safety vessels throughout the rowing competition at Swan Lake. A standard part of any regatta, safety boats accompany racing shells whenever rowers are on the water, and it’s a job we’re honoured to do for these athletes and their families. Our crews will be out there every race day, start to finish.

Supporting Vernon rowing all year long

Our connection to rowing on Swan Lake doesn’t start or end with the Games. KingFisher is a longtime supporter of the Vernon Rowing Club, providing boat repair and maintenance that helps keep the club’s fleet and its young athletes on the water, pursuing their goals season after season. The rowers training on Swan Lake at sunrise are our neighbours, and some of them will likely be competing in these Games. We’ll be cheering loudly.

Part of something bigger

The BC Summer Games run on community – the volunteers, local businesses and organizations that show up so young athletes can have their moment. For the past six months, we’ve been proud to stand alongside the other Friends of the Games making Kelowna 2026 happen across the Okanagan.

To every athlete, coach, official, and volunteer heading to the Okanagan: Welcome. And to the rowers coming to Swan Lake: this lake means a lot to us. Be safe. Race well. We’ll see you out there.
