Boat: 2025 HHT / 2125 Accord

With the infamous Bay of Quinte only a few feet from his backdoor this Southern Ontario charter captain and walleye tournament angler puts his Kingfisher boats through it all during the busy fishing season!

A love of the outdoors was instilled by my grandfathers. I built my first boat at age 15 and have never looked back. As the owner of Werners Angling Adventures I am fortunate enough to be on the water from early spring until ice-up chasing the monster walleye found here on the Bay of Quinte and Lake Ontario. Between charters I also compete on various walleye tournament circuits in both the USA and Canada including the AIM, NOWT, Kiwanis World Walleye, NWA, and NWT. I get amazing response from all of my fellow competitors, as they always want to "inspect" my boat after they see how it handles the rough water!

Day in to day out from fishing charters to tournaments, I rely on my Kingfisher to get me and my clients to the fishing grounds and back. When people come aboard and ask about my Kingfisher the three words that first come to mind are Strong, Tough and Reliable. For work or for fun its a no-nonsense boat thats gets the job done!

I look forward to a long relationship with KingFisher—the toughest aluminum brand in the game. I can't wait to be ice free again because that's where you'll find me until the last day of the season, trophy fishing. We'll see you at the shows. Drop by to say hello.

Capt. Andy Martin

Home: Brookings, Oregon
Boat: 2825 Coastal Express

I'm Andy Martin, a full-time river guide and saltwater fishing captain. As long as I can remember, fishing has been my passion. I grew up fishing the Chetco, Rogue and Smith rivers, and had my first drift boat long before I was old enough to drive a car.

I'm fortunate to have one of the greatest jobs in the world. I have the opportunity to take people fishing almost every day, and I work hard to make sure my customers have the ultimate fishing experience. The rivers I fish in Southern Oregon and Northern California, as well as the coastal waters of Alaska, are among the most scenic areas of the world, and have some of the best fishing anywhere. I provide the best equipment including a KingFisher 2825 Coastal Express, and make sure you have an easy-going trip with the best possible chance at catching fish.

Aside from putting you on fish, my goal is to make sure you have an enjoyable time on the water. I'm friendly, more than willing to pass on information about the rivers and fish, and give a full effort in making your trip one you will always remember. There are a lot of choices when it comes to fishing guides in Southern Oregon, Northern California and Alaska but you'll never be disappointed with us. Visit us at

Home: Medicine Hat, Alberta

I've been fishing ever since I can remember and while I don't participate in many tournaments I go out as often as I can and have a serious obsession. A couple of my favorite lakes include Bullshead Reservoir close to Medicine Hat and White Swan Lake by Invermere, BC. I love fishing for trout in any fashion whether it be trolling, casting, on the fly or on the ice. As a kid I got "the bug" early on from fishing with my dad and even though I'm on out the prairies, my real passion became Salmon fishing as a result of a yearly Vancouver Island family vacation. I think catching a 25lb Spring at 8 years old sealed the deal. Even now I still religiously make a trip out to the Campbell River area every year for a 3 week stay to cram in as much Coho and Chinook fishing as I can. I have to admit, everyone looks at you pretty strange with a couple of downriggers off the back of the boat in southern Alberta; if they only knew!

Mark Hagedorn

Mark Hagedorn

Home: North Plains, Oregon
Boat: 3025 Offshore

Mark grew up in Western Washington, where he spent many hours fishing for trout in Eastern Washington, fishing for salmon in Puget Sound, and hunting waterfowl on both side of the Cascade Mountains. While in college, he spent time learning the hunting and fishing opportunities in the Skagit and Nooksack River deltas.

After college the lure of the racing business (supplier to Formula 1, Champ Car, NASCAR, etc.) in Southern California took him away from Washington, he was exposed to the warm water ocean fisheries off Newport and San Diego. A few years later, the visit to California ended and a new adventure began as his career took him to Portland, OR. He quickly got back into waterfowl hunting and became exposed him to the many fishing opportunities available between the Columbia River, Willamette River, and several ports on the Pacific Ocean.

Mark soon purchased his first boat and became a regular in Sellwood and Multnomah channel. However, the temptation of the ocean took hold and he soon purchased his next boat, which was much more ocean capable. His boat named Hillbilly Deluxe spends the spring months chasing bottom fish, salmon, halibut, and crab near shore and at Halibut Hill. Once the warm water moves closer to shore in early July, Mark and his boat begin making trips west in search of the abundant Albacore Tuna populations that seasonally visit the Oregon coast. Later in the season you will see Hillbilly Deluxe and its crew on the competitor list for the Oregon Tuna Classic (OTC) series of events.

Balancing his work as the Director of Operations for an energy storage company with being an advocate for Stevens Marine, Mercury Marine, Raymarine and Kingfisher Boats leaves Mark at the coast most weekends during the season with fishable weather. In the off season, you will see him in the duck blind or at many of the industry shows and events between Washington and Oregon. Mark is Owner and Captain of Hillbilly Deluxe Sportfishing.
